Speaking during the handing over ceremony held in Jameeco Weyn estate, Telesom head of marketing and public relations department Yahye Iid Dhibiil said that we at telesom were moved by the humble financial contributions made by the residents Jameeco weyn with the little resources at their disposal they had in an effort to solicit funds for the construction of the road, we then decide it is our moral obligation to take part in this project which will greatly benefit the community as a whole.
Yahye handed the USD $3000 contribution to the chairman of the Jameeco weyn road committee Caaqil Rashid Mohamed Jambiir on behalf of the residents of Jameeco weyn estate I do hereby thank the genorosity of Telesom management for the their contribution toward the construction of Jameeco weyn road.
The chairman of Jameeco weyn road committee Caaqil Rashid Mohamed Jambiir acknowledge that Telesom plays a vital role in community development, and this proves the company care. Caaqil Rashid said, "This road is vital been the main route which leads to the airport, will also when completed interconnect October and star estates". On the other hand the company deputy manager of marketing and public relations Mohamed Abdi Darbo handed $2,000 contribution to the chairman of Sh. Nuur bridge committe Sh. Mohamed Muse Habane for the construction of a vital bridge which links the eastern fringes of Hargeisa and the Naasa- Hablood cementry the capitol’s main burial grounds.
Sheikh Mohamed Muse Habane praised Telesom for the noble gesture in contributing towards the construction of Sheikh Nuur bridge which for the last two years had been treacherous for motorist hence rendering travel almost impossible to the eastern parts of hargeisa. Sheikh Mohamed went on to say “Telesom has been known to take the leading role when it comes to giving back to the society by supporting projects related to community developments and that other private enterprises. Sheikh Mohamed urged private and well off citizens to follow suit and contribute to toward community based project.
